Need advice for a wheelchair accessible wooden/cement/asphalt/other walkway on horse farm?
I’m the project foreman for a memorial garden that is going to be constructed this spring/summer. We need to construct a wheelchair-accessible walkway from the parking lot to the garden. It is probably about 300 feet of walkway, mostly going slightly downhill. It is located in Southern Wisconsin, exposed to full sun all day, so it needs to stand up to the weather conditions. I have done some research on concrete and asphalt, and I’m thinking a wooden walkway might be cheapest and easiest to build. It would be in the ground for the most part, and possibly elevated slightly to ease the slope downhill so it is up to code.
I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions on this. Is wood the best way to go, considering the slope? Is pouring concrete on a slope difficult? How much maintenance can we expect to do with wood, asphalt and concrete? If a wood walkway, is there a paint or sealer we can get locally that will seal it very well, provide some traction and withstand direct sun? Thanks!
This article gives hints and tips about creating a wheelchair ramp. Maybe you can use some of the ideas when creating your walkway:
This is my first tile installation, a little help?
Hi, I just weent to Lowes and bought these supplies:

1×4 x 1×4 Trowel
Grout Rubber Float

A question about painting our concrete basement exterior.
I know concrete is somewhat porous,is there a sealer, primer or just a paint that would fill in the small holes and act as semi insulation to help with the cold penetrating through the pores of the concrete.
I don’t mind a two or three step process but a paint that would do the job with one step would be fine with me but a process that would last for several years and provide a thermal type barrier is my main goal.
you wont get a thermal barrier for the price of a pot of paint ..you can paint it with a bitumen type paint ..that will keep it dry ..but thermal ?you need to go inside for that ..use a polyurethane based board
I want a shine on my newly epoxy coated garage floor – what to use??? Can I use regular floor wax?
I used the Quickrete 2 part epoxy mixed to blue color and put the colored flakes on – looks awesome. I want a seal and shine on top of that. Whats my choices? I thought about regular floor wax (cheap). The coated concrete is still pourous and I dont want to ruin my new job. I am scared of regular wax yellowing out in the garage heat. Should I just spend the money on clear sealer?
I would go for the clear sealer. More durable. Like you also said, no yellowing.
