how to make an atlas stone for cheap part 3 of 3
I really wanted an atlas stone but money is tight right now so I thought up a very cheap way to make one. I went to wall mart and purchased a big rubber “marble” ball..you know the ones in the bin..and I also got a basket ball pump..the ball was 2.50 and the pump was 4. when I got home I went in the backyard and dug a whole about 30″s deep. I pumped the ball up to my desired size..I was a little nervous the ball was gonna burst but suprisingly it got pretty big…anyways I placed the ball in the whole and packed dirt around it, dousing the dirt with my water hose and occasionally stomping the dirt. I completely covered the ball with dirt, and went about 5″s above the ball with dirt. remembberin where the center of the ball was, I used my hand and dug a round whole back down to the surface of the ball so I would have access to the valve( remember valve side up) and also it would give me a place to poor in the concrete. the next day I put the needle part of the pump in the ball and it slowly released the air. then when I could see the ball deflated away from the surrounding dirt, I stabbed it with a knife and the ball turned into a wrinkled piece of rubber which made it easy to pull out. I then mixed up about 5 40 lbs bags of portland cement in a wheel barrow and shoveled it into a 5 gallon bucket which I would carry over to the hole and pour in carefully. your suppose to let the concrete sit for about 3 days to cure but I waited about 6 hours and dug the sucker up…it was hard as a rock…I wont drop it on a solid surface for about another week or so, but it is definitely hard enough to drop on grass without an issue. plus at this early stage it makes it easy to scrape off any abnormalities with the claw end of a hammer. oh yeah and when you pour the concrete in the hole, take a board..I used a 2×6 to lay across solid ground near your whole so you can stand on the board without putting your bodyweight on the soil where a giant whole awaits to cave in on it self. mine came out pretty good, now just gotta put some Concrete Sealer on it and it will be ready to go!!

What Would Be The Consequences of Not Having Your Outdoor Pavements Pressure Cleaned at Least Once a Year
The consequences of not having your outdoor pavements pressure cleaned at least once a year will end up in spending more money over a long period of time to fix and replace bricks, pavers, and pavement. You can save money on repairs around your house if you have your house pressure cleaned once a year. A pressure washer will help your house from top to bottom.
Save Money Is The One Reason, Bottom Line
Neglecting areas around your house may end up with a large repair. Simple things such as the weeds between or under your bricks or pavers can cause them to split or break in half. A pressure washer can kill the weed around your house quicker than pulling each weed by hand. The colors of your bricks and pavers can fade and ruin if you do not have them washed and cleaned up.
Your Family Health Will Be in Danger If You let Mold Grow In Any part Of Your Home, Even Outside
Mold is one of the worst things that can eat your home and property, this can and will make you sick. If you do not take care of the mold around your home, you can end up spending a ton of money on both your house and your health. Mold can also make your walkways slippery and dangers. If mold was to sit for a long period of time, it will start to change the color of your bricks and pavement. You then would have to spend the money to replace bricks and pavers.
Preventive Maintenance Is The Way To Keep Your House Up To Date
When you end up having to replace sidewalk or pavement would cost for someone to break it up and re pore it. When you decide to have your house pressure cleaned once a year, it is as if you were taking your house to the doctor for its yearly check up.
Pressure Clean Will Also Prevent Mildew Growth
If you do not have your home and property treated with an anti mold and mildew treatment, or even bleach, your house will need more repairs then if you choose to have your home pressure cleaned once a year. Even the surrounding areas around your home such as the driveway or garage need to be pressure washed.
Pressure Wash Definitely Revitalizes Your Brick Pavers Driveway
The issues such as oil spills may penetrate the surface if sealer were not applied. Do you know the true color of your driveway? The dinginess of a driveway or walkway may make you think it should be black or green, without a regular maintenance it will definitely increase the amount of grim that accumulates in a year or more from dirt, rain and every day use can make your pavement and bricks look as if black was the new red or gray.
Replacement Is Always More Expensive Than Preventive Maintenance
The cost to have your outdoor pavement replaced will definitely be higher than a yearly cost of maintenance in a long term. If you neglect the cleaning of the outside of your home and property completely the issues will grow largely more than just replacing bricks or repainting your home. Your home can end up smelling. When you have any wood around your home, it can split and break off with just a little wind or rain.
Avoid City Fees Doing a Regular Year Pressure Wash/Seal on Your Outdoor Pavements
If your city has property up keep laws and rules, you may receive a ticket and have to pay a fine for the neglect the maintenance of your outdoors. If you live in a condo or housing association, you may also be fine by the condo, not to mention that your neighbors will not respect for you the odd smell coming from your home.
Simple Action Will Increase Value To Your Property
In the end, you want to make the right choice by having your house and property pressure cleaned. You do not want to let it go to long because the outcome may cause major damage and the consequence can decrease property value.
