Cracked basement foundation – cost to fix?

I have an old home. Visible crack in the basement foundation and a pencil sized stream of water when the ground is soaked and a heavy rain.
I have been told that there is a fix where they inject the crack with a sealer. Is that a decent option?
I know the best fix is to dig up the outside and seal it well. But i have a concrete sidewalk on that side of my house and hate having to replace the sidewalk.

What is the cost of these proceedures?

Thanks

Can i put stone down with polyurethane Adhesive over an existing concrete pool deck?

well answer-man; you should be answering this yourself with that name, but, the product you need to explore is ‘hydraulic patch’. comes in powdered form and in small cans usually.
it goes in the cracks and expands rather then just sitting there.

try to force it in the crack and place a piece of plywood over the crack while drying, thus expanding into the crack then out of the crack.

I live in northern Illinois and i used a company called U.S. Waterproofing, http://www.seepage.com. They use an epoxy/urethane injection process and charged me about $300 per crack. Kinda pricey, but I’ll never have to worry about them again.
