What is stamped concrete?
Stamped concrete is the process of pouring slab concrete onto a concrete surface and then impressing textures and patterns onto the concrete before the concrete dries. Hence the name “stamped concrete” you also may have heard of the terms concrete stamping, this is all the same process. Once the concrete has its pattern and texture from the stamping the color is applied on top and then a clear sealer seals the finished product to protect it from various elements. Stamped concrete can look like many different kinds of stone such as pavers, brick, cobblestone, seashells and much more.

What is Stained Concrete?
Stained Concrete gives color and texture to the existing aggregate material. Acid Stain is applied and the stain penetrates the surface of the concrete resulting in a chemical reaction that creates unique colors.

Sunstamp is a Stamped Concrete Overlay application that is 1/4 to 1/2 inch in thickness and utilizes texture mats or stencils to create unique patterns. Depending on the desired outcome a base material is trowelled on allowed to dry, if stencils are used, they are layed down in place. The second coat of texture material is applied and texture mats are put in place to stamp an irregular stone type finish. Once the material is dry, custom stained colors are used to complete the look.

Acid Stain or Stained Concrete is an economical way to create a one of a kind finish. This trendy application has been used extensively on the East and West Coast and is now becoming more popular in the MidWest. Acid Stain can be applied by brush or spray. Once applied to the floors the dwell time is approximately 12 hours. The acid is then neutralized and removed from the surface. Two coats of clear sealer and wax are then applied resulting in a high gloss finish.

Citadel Floor finishing system is another product Decorative Concrete Resurfacing installs. This is another incredible finish for your basement, patio and GARAGE FLOORS. This revolutionary aliphatic polyurea coating is a fast curing rock solid finish. This application is resistant to oil, salt, gasoline and other contaminants.
